Launched on October 14th, Glossier’s new Futuredew, a moisturizing highlight and skincare hybrid, took the beauty community by storm with its oil-based formula that applies like a fast-absorbing serum for a bright and natural glow. Since its launch in 2014, Glossier has released consistent beauty favorites like Balm dotcom, Cloudpaint, Boy brow, and now Futuredew. Finally, the product everyone’s been waiting for: the infamous glazed-doughnut glow in a bottle. Say sayonara to dull winter skin and light up the holidays with a radiant shimmer! This product moisturizes with essential oils, highlights with light-reflecting particles and leaves your skin looking fresh and healthy just as it would after applying a face-mask. I would recommend using 1-1.5 pumps to cover the cheekbones, nose, and blend up to the temples. It is worth noting that this new product is not makeup, but actually the last step in your skincare routine to leave you glowing throughout the day. As far as everyday wear, this long-lasting product can be worn with no makeup or can be built up as a highlight. At first, this product comes out a fleshy pink, but blends to a sheer glossy glimmer. Futuredew is hypoallergenic, dermatologist-tested, cruelty-free, vegan, non-comedogenic, and made for all skin types, so you can enjoy your post-facial highlight and trust that it won’t clog your pores! Infused with antioxidants, this formula will brighten dull skin and give it some shine. However, the only problem with this product is the functionality of the pump. Throughout the week, that the amount of product dispensed was often too much to distribute, and left excess on my hand. My recommendation would be to use a smaller pump for a daily dose of product. After using this product for the past week, I would rate it a solid 8/10. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone who wants to try something new and add a fun step to their skincare routine.
